The Softears RSV-MKII is a 5-driver balanced armature in-ear monitor from Softears' RS (Reference Sound) series. It reworks the original RSV's internal acoustic path away from a standard 3D-printed structure toward a re-engineered bass architecture, aimed at richer low-end response without losing the series' reference-tuned balance.
Four Tubes, Four-Way Crossover, Seven Acoustic Components
Five balanced armature drivers are routed through four sound tubes and a four-way crossover network built from seven acoustic components, giving each frequency band its own dedicated path. A dual bass tube design is aimed at delivering full, powerful low end without a thin or tinny character.
SWFK Composite High-Frequency Driver
The high-frequency driver uses a composite SWFK design intended to reproduce instrument timbre accurately, keep multiple simultaneous instruments distinct, and maintain a treble that stays detailed without becoming fatiguing over long listening sessions.
Passive Driver & Dual Pressure Relief
A passive driver is built in to improve audio performance while reducing in-ear wearing pressure. The RSV-MKII also carries Softears' patented Dual Pressure Relief air-balance system (Patent No. CN202122764459.7) ā the same technology used in the brand's flagship RS10 ā which manages air damping to respond to real-time pressure changes, improve frequency response, and reduce listening fatigue.
CNC-Machined Aluminium & Forged Carbon Fibre
The faceplate combines a CNC-precision-machined, anodized aluminium alloy frame with a high-strength forged carbon fibre panel in a V-pattern, built on a medical-grade resin shell for a durable, refined finish.
Included Eartips
- UC Eartips ā soft and comfortable for long-term wear, with better ear canal sealing, clear highs and solid lows.
- Type-B Eartips ā balanced, standard-tuning tips used as Softears' own engineer reference set, suited to nozzles on the larger side.
