I have never used any planar, so cannot compare, but giving a great sound, need a loads of amping though.
needs an amp though and needs some bass (amp and good eq may fix it). but really good and really good imaging to work with dolby access for gaming.
I just got my HIFIMAN SUNDARA from Gears for Ears. Buying experience was very good. Delivery was very fast.
I can't do a detailed review for 2 reasons. First of all, I only just got it and secondly, this is my first headphone in this range.From a general user perspective, It feels solid, looks nice feels comfortable to use. The provided cable is a bit stiff, curly and short. But I had ordered replacement cables for them so that never bothered me. As for the sound, they started out sounding harsh but within an hour of listening the sound started getting warmer. It is not my ears getting used to the sound. In the beginning there was a lot of sibilance and very little bass presence but after an hour the sibilance was almost gone on the same song and some bass was there. So I expect the sound signature is going to change further as I burn it in. I have been listening to it on a iFi Zen DAC connected to an xDuoo TA-20 Tube Headphone Amp. Also on Ear Studio ES100 Bluetooth Receiver. It already sounds better than any headphone I tried before (which does not say much as I have not really tried any mid or high end headphones). My main reason for choosing these were however the comfort. I tried closed back headphones but never could use then as they got hot after a while. So far these don't seem to have that problem. I have a feeling I'll get to love them more as time goes by.

The process to claim warranty for each brand is different. For HiFiMAN, it's required that you get in touch with them directly.
As long as you have your invoice which serves as your proof of purchase, any HiFiMAN service center that services headphones should be in a position to fulfill your warranty claim request. If you’ve bought the product from Gears For Ear's webstore but have misplaced your invoice, you can simply contact us with your order number and we will send you your invoice. But if you’ve bought the product from any other offline store or online portal, you will have to contact the seller directly before contacting the service center.
The warranty period starts from the date mentioned on the invoice, which is why the invoice copy is imperative for you to claim warranty.
In case you aren't getting any help from the brand or are facing any issues with warranty, please let us know. We will try our best to intervene and get you the help that you need.
