The Softears Studio 2 is a dual balanced armature in-ear monitor from Softears' EXPERTISE series, built for stage and performance monitoring where a secure fit and a clean, controlled sound matter as much as detail.
Two Balanced Armature Drivers
A 2-driver balanced armature configuration is housed in a medical-grade, 3D-printed resin shell shaped for a secure in-ear fit during movement on stage.
Slip-Resistant Nozzle
The nozzle carries a locking lip that helps keep eartips seated during long-term wear, including with universal in-ear monitor tips exposed to dust buildup around the nozzle.
Low-Microphonics Copper Cable
The stock cable uses a 14x0.06AWG, 5N oxygen-free copper cross-weave construction under a medical-grade, skin-friendly PVC jacket. The design is aimed at keeping tone unaffected while reducing the stethoscope effect (cable-borne handling noise), making it suited to stage monitoring. Both the 2-pin 0.78mm and 3.5mm connectors carry a gold-plated finish for stable, oxidation-resistant contact, and the cable detaches for easy swapping.
Shockproof, Waterproof Case
Studio 2 ships in a custom case built from ABS, fiberglass and PC with a cushioned foam interior, designed to protect the earphones from accidental drops while staying compact enough to carry.
Left/Right Identification
The right-ear side is marked with a small red ring on the connector for quick identification when gearing up between sets.
