FiiO EA13 Stereo Tube Amplifier

The FiiO EA13 is a full-size vacuum tube audio power amplifier that reimagines the classic tube amp. Three years in the making, it pairs six imported tubes — two Sylvania NOS PCF80 preamp tubes and four JJ Electronic EL34 power tubes — with a Class A push-pull design delivering up to 28W+28W, framed by dual-channel LED-backlit mechanical VU meters.

A reinvented design language for tube amplifiers — strikingly, refreshingly new — while six imported tubes preserve the classic design. As the warm glow of the tubes rises, the lighting comes alive and the mechanical meters gently dance, as sound and light intertwine and the warmth of analog fills the room.

6 Imported Tubes, Naturally Rich Sound

• Preamp voltage amplification: 2x Sylvania NOS PCF80 tubes, from one of America's premier tube manufacturers — refined, transparent sound with an open, natural soundstage.
• Power amplification: 4x Czech JJ Electronic EL34 tubes, classic European power tubes — warm, full-bodied sound with pure, unmistakable tube character.

Note: due to production batch variations, storage time and natural oxidation, the silk-screened markings on vacuum tubes may appear slightly blurred, faded or discoloured, or may partially peel. This is normal for vacuum tubes and does not affect performance or sound quality.

Class A Push-Pull Amplification, 28W+28W Output

Drawing on the classic circuits of renowned tube amplifiers from the 1950s, the EA13 combines pentode mode with pure Class A operation to minimise distortion, for a sound that is delicate, dense, silky and beautifully transparent. Its 28W+28W (8Ω) output can drive most bookshelf speakers and even select floor-standing models, pairing refinement with authoritative control — from the subtle breath of a performer to the expansive soundstage of a concert hall.

High-Bandwidth, Low-Noise Output Transformer

A custom EI silicon steel laminate output transformer is filled with epoxy resin and fine sand, then fully sealed within a robust enclosure. This suppresses transformer vibration, provides excellent electromagnetic shielding and moisture protection, and improves stability and longevity — delivering a blacker background, tighter and weightier bass, and more refined treble.

Dual-Channel LED-Backlit Mechanical VU Meters

True mechanical VU meters with a warm retro backlight, driven by a dedicated control IC. When the music starts, the needles dance in time with it — sound you can actually see.

Note: the VU meter pointers may deviate by up to ±1mm at the zero position, which is within factory tolerance. Slight misalignment between the left and right pointers when returning to zero is normal and does not affect use.

High-Quality Analog Potentiometer

Volume is controlled by a high-quality analog potentiometer for smooth, delicate and precise adjustment.

Audiophile-Grade Components

• Axial metal film coupling capacitors — low loss, low distortion and exceptional stability
• Japanese NCC large-capacity filter electrolytic capacitors — a pure, clean power supply that lets the natural richness of tube sound come through

• 4x RCA analog inputs — for digital streamers, turntables, CD players, DACs and more
• Gold-plated 4Ω and 8Ω speaker binding posts — accommodate speakers of varying impedance
• 6.35mm headphone output — private listening with the warmth of desktop tube amplification
• 12V Trigger In — synchronised power on/off with other 12V Trigger-compatible devices

Note: when using the headphone output, disconnect the speakers first. Connecting dummy loads of matching impedance to the speaker terminals is recommended, to avoid running the amplifier under light-load or no-load conditions for long periods.

Convenient Everyday Use

• Four-position input selector — a high-quality encoder with clear, positive tactile feedback and long service life
• Knob lighting controls — single press the left knob to change the knob light colour or turn it off; double press to turn off both the knob light and the VU meter backlight
• Low-power standby — after 30 minutes without an input signal, the EA13 enters standby automatically, reducing energy use and helping extend tube life
• RGB lighting — fully adjustable dual-knob lighting to complement the warm amber glow of the tubes

Important Usage Notes

• Match the voltage: set the 115V/230V voltage selector to match your mains supply before connecting power. A mismatch will damage the vacuum tubes and other core components.
• Speaker polarity: connect speaker positive and negative terminals correctly and never let them touch, to avoid a short circuit.
• Always run with a load: never operate the amplifier with no load connected or with the outputs short-circuited.
• Heat and ventilation: the surface becomes hot during extended use. Do not touch hot areas or block the vents, and place the unit somewhere well ventilated.
• No self-repair: do not open the unit, adjust internal settings or touch internal components. Repairs should only be carried out by qualified technicians.
• Keep dry: keep away from drips and splashes, and do not place liquid containers such as vases nearby.
• Cleaning: use a dry, soft cloth. Do not use thinners, alcohol or other volatile liquids, or insecticides near the unit.
• Power off when idle: unplug the unit from the mains if it will not be used for a long time.
• Handle with care: the EA13 is heavy (about 17.7kg). Lift it steadily and avoid knocks and drops.
