High-Performance ESS ES9069Q DAC

RU3 is equipped with the ESS ES9069Q, a modern DAC chip using ESS’s latest HyperStream IV Dual DAC architecture. This high-performance DAC ensures clear, natural sound with excellent channel balance and low distortion. With its independent op-amp design and low-phase-noise crystal oscillator, RU3 brings a smooth and detailed presentation — ideal for portable Hi-Fi listening.

Quad Balanced Drive Architecture

RU3 uses a quad balanced amplifier structure with two TI OPA1602 op-amps and two SGM8262 low-noise amplifiers. This setup delivers clean output and wide dynamic range while keeping noise impressively low. Even with its small size, RU3 can easily power most earphones and portable headphones.

Dual Power Modes — Smart Efficiency

Users can select between two Power Modes: HYP and STD.
Hyper (HYP) Mode: Delivers full power output and extended dynamics.
Standard (STD) Mode: Operates at lower power for cooler, more efficient performance.

This flexibility allows RU3 to perform reliably whether connected to a smartphone or
computer, maintaining consistent sound quality under all conditions.

High-Resolution Audio and RISC-V Architecture

Powered by the SPV5068 processor, built on a RISC-V dual-core architecture, RU3 supports PCM 32-bit/768 kHz and native DSD512 playback. The processor ensures fast response, low distortion, and broad compatibility across major operating systems —including Android, iOS, Windows, and macOS.

Through the Cayin Control App, users can fine-tune their listening experience with advanced features such as:
