Prepare to be converted by the real thing. The Ferrum WANDLA is a flagship DAC/Preamp engineered from a blank page with one goal: to push the boundaries of what high-end digital audio can be — at a price that doesn't demand a second mortgage. Drawing inspiration from Formula 1 racing, where every detail matters and perfection is the only option, WANDLA embodies hundreds of innovations, large and small, to deliver a rich, detailed, and transparent sound with an incredibly low noise floor.
WANDLA is tomorrow's high-end audio, available today.
At WANDLA's heart lies SERCE, Ferrum's proprietary ARM-based platform. Running Ferrum's own software, SERCE singlehandedly performs the tasks of five chips, creating the shortest possible signal path for audio-optimised USB, ARC, I2S, Coaxial S/PDIF, and Optical S/PDIF ports. Behind the conversion stage, Ferrum's engineering team implemented an advanced current-to-voltage (I/V) converter and an output stage informed by their experience developing the acclaimed OOR and ERCO. Multiple internal power supplies — based on HYPSOS' revolutionary hybrid design — power both analogue and digital sections to minimise interference, reduce noise, and maximise channel separation.
Finely tuned DA conversion
The ESS Sabre ES9038PRO combined with Ferrum's advanced current-to-voltage converter delivers performance that compares to units many times its price.
Dynamic Digital Filtering (DDF)
A world first — WANDLA ships with three ESS digital filters plus two exclusive filters created by renowned filter-maker HQ Player, developed specifically for Ferrum. More filters are unlocked over time through community interaction, making WANDLA an evolving, user-driven platform.
MQA Decoder & Renderer
Full MQA decoding and rendering on all digital inputs for Master Quality Authenticated playback.
It's also a preamp
WANDLA doubles as a premium preamplifier with a full-function IR remote. Two digitally controlled attenuators offer selectable analogue or digital volume control. Six digital inputs (USB-C, Coaxial, Optical, AES, ARC, I2S) plus one analogue RCA input — which bypasses all digital processing — ensure compatibility with the widest range of sources.
Truly balanced topology
The signal path remains truly balanced via XLR inputs and becomes truly balanced via RCA inputs, with both balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA outputs provided.
Hi-res touchscreen display
A newly developed high-resolution touchscreen with an intuitive interface lets you find any setting in seconds via a mix of touch, turn, and press. When operated via remote, the display automatically switches to distance mode for easy reading from across the room.
Made for HYPSOS
WANDLA performs beautifully straight out of the box with its included power supply. Pair it with Ferrum's HYPSOS via the proprietary Ferrum Power Link (FPL) cable and 4T voltage sensing, and both components perform to their absolute maximum — unleashing musicality that has to be heard to be believed.
Designed and engineered by Ferrum / HEM in Warsaw, Poland. Ferrum was founded in early 2020 with a clear mandate: combine sustainability, durability, and quality into compact, attractive packages — focused entirely on delivering the best possible audio experience at an affordable price. Built on over 20 years of digital audio expertise and a collaboration with Mytek Digital on world-class DAC technology, Ferrum brings unmatched engineering pedigree to every product. HYPSOS and OOR both earned coveted EISA awards. WANDLA raises the bar further still.
